At Meta, we think about how we see ourselves and what we want to embody, exploring beyond what we think we are. Inspired by the inherent beauty in every person, I offer a collaborative, relaxing experience at the York, PA studio.
Meta is an inclusive, gender affirming, eco-conscious, holistic studio, for those who may not be sure whether they fit in a traditional salon or barber shop environment. Meta is an LGBTQ+ safe and anti-racist zone. All are welcome!

Seeking to add a graphic edge to what’s natural, Dana is a hair cutting specialist, focusing on natural texture, razor cutting, dry cutting, organic styling, wash and go cuts, and suitability for hair type and lifestyle. Dana draws her daily inspiration from street style, music, science, art, books, fashion, nature, travel, food, the past, and the future. She holds a music degree from the New School University and lived in NYC and Brooklyn for 6 years where her view of art and culture was forever changed.
Dana is a licensed master barber and hair artist that has worked in family barber shops, high-end salons, and everything in between since 2009. Dana opened Meta in 2017, hoping to bring a studio to York for those seeking artistry, elevated technique, and forward thinking work. She believes in constant education and inspiration and has completed many advanced classes in cutting and styling with world renowned educators. Dana strives to seek any knowledge necessary to empower people to embody their dreams.
